BSN Programs

In 1981, the University of Missouri - St. Louis established the baccalaureate completion program for registered nurses. In 1994, the program expanded to include a pre-licensure baccalaureate program, making the University the only public institution in the St. Louis metropolitan area that offers baccalaureate through doctoral nursing education. The College enjoys a mutually beneficial relationship with the region’s largest and most sophisticated providers of health care services.

Nursing Faculty

The College’s nursing faculty members are recognized as leaders in the education of nurses and innovators in the practice and research of nursing.  The faculty, through its teaching and research, is at the forefront in the changes in delivery of health care and are dedicated to the advancement of the profession of nursing. Nursing students have access to faculty through the classroom, clinical settings, regularly scheduled office hours, and extracurricular activities.

BSN Part-Time Option

A three year evening and weekend degree program (after all general education coursework is complete), specifically designed to work around your busy schedule. Pursuing your nursing career at UMSL at night and on the weekends will allow you to balance your work and family commitments with your academic goals. Lecture, lab, and clinical classes will be offered in the evenings and on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
