Thank you for your interest in applying to UMSL!

We are currently accepting applications for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 terms.

If you're joining us for the summer please select the right application for you. If you have questions on what app is best for you give us a call, 314-516-5451.

Please note if you are applying to start a class for one of our 8-week sessions, you need to apply for the semester that the 8-week session is in. For example: If you are applying to start classes in October of 2026, you would apply using the Fall 2026 application.

First Year, Transfer and Returning Students

Please visit the undergraduate student application portal and follow the steps to begin the application process. UMSL also accepts first-year applications through the Common Application .

Graduate and Professional Students

Those pursuing graduate studies can begin the application process via the graduate student application portal. Once there, you will need to create an account and follow the next steps. Those interested in the Optometry program will need to fill out a separate application as listed below.
