University Accessibility Resources

The University of Missouri–Saint Louis is committed to creating an accessible environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

We believe everyone should be able to fully engage with our campus, services, and digital spaces. Whether you're seeking support, need to report an accessibility barrier, or want to learn more about our commitment to digital accessibility, the links below are here to help.

Report an Accessibility Barrier

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Compliance appreciates your help in improving accessibility across campus. If you encounter a physical, digital or procedural barrier to access, please let us know by filling out this form with as much detail as you can provide.

The University of Missouri-St. Louis believes that a learning environment free from barriers for any one person makes that environment better for everyone. We recognize that our commitment to access demands continual change—and we embrace that responsibility.

Disability Access Services

Disability Access Services (DAS) acknowledges the uniqueness of each student as a valuable member of the UMSL community. In keeping with UMSL’s commitment to equal access to education, DAS works to ensure full and equal participation in all educational opportunities.

The office provides individualized accommodations and services, and helps students with disabilities build independence and self-advocacy skills that support their success in college and beyond. You can learn more on the DAS website.

Faculty and Staff Accommodations

A reasonable accommodation is a work-related modification, adjustment to the work environment, assistive technology, or assistive device that enables an employee with a disability to perform the essential functions of their position. The ADA Coordinator collaborates with all faculty and staff to help provide accommodations.

The first step in the accommodation process is to contact the ADA Coordinator, so that we can meet with you to learn more about your unique situation and what accommodations might be appropriate given the nature of your job. For more details visit Faculty and Staff Accommodations

Digital Accessibility

At the University of Missouri–St. Louis, we are committed to transforming lives through access, inclusion, and the pursuit of excellence. As part of that mission, we are making digital accessibility a core part of our identity and culture.

Ensuring that all individuals—including those with disabilities—can fully engage with our digital content and tools is essential to building a truly inclusive learning and working environment.

In alignment with our values—and in preparation for updated Title II requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act—all digital content across the University of Missouri System must meet web accessibility standards by April 24, 2026.

For more details visit Digital Accessibility on Campus.
