The 2025-2030 College of Nursing strategic plan gives voice to our ambitions, but it is the sustained commitment of the College that transforms those ambitions into meaningful outcomes for our students, our profession, and the communities we serve. We are committed to sharing our expertise and broadening our impact across local, state, national, and global communities, guided by shared values that define our path forward.
This strategic plan reflects the longstanding leadership of our College of Nursing, grounded in decades of impact across education, research, practice, advocacy, and community engagement. The mission, vision, values, and goals that follow are deeply aligned with our land-grant mission advancing access, improving health, and serving communities across our state and beyond.
As a College, our responsibility is not only to educate the next generation of nursing and healthcare leaders, but also to support, inspire, and empower them to transform healthcare for the benefit of all people and communities. This work is grounded in building both confidence and competence in knowledge and skill, expanding learning through simulation, and experiential opportunities that shape approaches to practice and care, and in advancing solutions to complex health challenges across the lifespan solutions. This work also, addresses social determinants of health, advance health equity, and improve outcomes for individuals, populations, and communities.
This strategic plan is intended to be a living document, with initiatives that may be adapted as we progress. It reflects, at its foundation, the ambitions, and aspirations of our College.
