RE:  Nu Chi Chapter Research/Scholarly Activity Award

You are invited to apply for a Nu Chi Chapter Research/Scholarly Activity Award.  The description of the award, criteria for the award, and guidelines for applying are listed in the following outline.  

Award Description:
-Up to three awards of $800 per award can be given
-The deadline for submission is 1 October 2009
-All applications will be reviewed by the grant review committee

Criteria:
-Be a member of Nu Chi Chapter
-Have a project that reflects research/scholarly activity
-Give a presentation on your research (completed or in progress) at a future chapter meeting
-Acknowledge "partial funding from Nu Chi Chapter STTI” in publications based on your research

Guidelines for applying:
-Provide a clearly written brief abstract of the project
-Provide a narrative statement of the problem, significance, the design, and the project outcomes
-An explanation of how the funds will be used
-Provide a statement noting IRB approval or plans to apply for appropriate IRB approval.  Funding is contingent upon IRB approval and funds will not released until IRB approval is submitted to Nu Chi Research Committee
-Submit your application electronically no later than 1 October 2009
