UMSL has several computer labs where students can print.
For questions regarding ISS Staffed Labs, contact information is 314-516-6852 or email at ic@umsl.edu

Laptop Printing:

UMSL uses a print management system called PaperCut to allow students to print from their own laptops to any printer on campus. You can upload print jobs using PaperCut WebPrint using your account at tritonprint.umsl.edu/user (see WebPrint Instructions). You can also Email to Print jobs by sending an email to tritonprint@umsl.edu from your UMSL email account.

The following file types are allowed:
Microsoft Excel:  .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, .xlsb, .xltx, .xltm, .csv

Adobe PDF: PDF, PDF/A, PDF/E, PDF/X, PDF/VT, PDF/UA, Searchable PDF

Printing Quota:

Printing Allowance can be checked and managed by going to tritonprint.umsl.edu/user. One day after the prior term's end date, all students with paid enrollment fees for that semester will receive a balance of $15.00 to be used for printing. This amount is based on the current lab print quota of 375 black & white impressions at a rate of $0.04 per impression, or 150 color impressions.

PaperCut Account Management:

The Papercut Account Management application enables designated departmental administrators and their delegates to manage the MoCodes assigned to employees in their department. These MoCodes allow employees to charge printing costs directly to the appropriate account.

In addition, PeopleSoft fiscal officers can designate new MoCodes for printing purposes and manage existing MoCodes to ensure they remain accurate and up to date.

FAQ’s

How do I release my print job if I do not have my UMSL ID handy?

You need your UMSL ID to release your print job from SecureRelease. There is not a way to enter Username and Password manually.

Which direction do I scan my UMSL ID through the reader?

You can scan your card forward or backward, but the stripe needs to be facing to your right.

Why don’t I have any jobs in the SecurePrint queue?

Print jobs expire from the queue after 24 hours. Expired print jobs will show as “Deleted Print” in the Transaction History report. You can view print/scan/fax reports from the PaperCut User Portal

My UMSL ID does not work, who should I contact?

Try scanning your card in both directions in the reader, top to bottom and bottom to top (with the card stripe facing to your right). Some cards are too old, or the magnetic strip is too worn to work correctly with the device.

If a student's card is damaged due to wear and tear (i.e. bag magnetic stripe), students will not be charged as long as they surrender their old card when getting it replaced - the Technology Support Center located in 190 Millennium Student Center.

If a faculty or staff member would like to replace their ID card, please go to the Technology Support Center located in 190 Millennium Student Center. There is no charge to faculty or staff to make or replace ID cards. It is helpful to bring an old ID, another form of ID or your employee number.
