Tuition Rates
- Pre-Nursing Tuition: $529 per credit hour
- BSN (Clinical Nursing) Tuition: $643 per credit hour

Clinical Compliance Requirements (Estimated: $250-$290)
- CPR certification (valid for two years): $80
- Subscribe to myClinicalExchange (mCE) for clinical compliance tracking: $20 per semester (TBSN: $80 total; ABSN: $40 total)
- Additional costs for tuberculosis testing and required vaccinations may vary
- Criminal background check, Missouri Family Care Safety Registry, and urine drug screen: $130
Skills Kit (Estimated: $150)
- Required for the first clinical semester
- Purchase required skills kit through the University Bookstore
Scrubs and White Coat (Estimated: $150-$210)
- Order required scrubs through My Favorite Scrubs
- Required: one full set of scrubs (top and bottom)
- Recommended: two to three full sets of scrubs
- Required: one white lab coat
- Scrubs must be dark gray or dark pewter in color
- Refer to the BSN Student Handbook for full dress code and clinical expectations
Stethoscope (Estimated: $50)
- Must include both a bell and diaphragm
- Can be purchased from any retailer
- It is recommended to avoid purchasing an expensive stethoscope until after graduation
Transportation (Estimated: $1,000-$1,944 annually)
- Students are responsible for transportation to and from clinical sites
- Students parking on campus must register for a free student parking pass
- Purchase a student Metro pass through the UMSL Cashier’s Office for $25 per semester
- Annual transportation costs are estimated by Student Financial Services
Textbooks and Supplies (Estimated: $1,000 annually)
- Textbooks and course materials are available through the University Bookstore
- Annual costs are estimated by Student Financial Services
