Elizabeth Gavin is the Director of Simulation and Assistant Teaching Professor at the UMSL College of Nursing, where she oversees simulation operations, faculty development, and curriculum integration. She brings extensive clinical nursing experience, primarily in pediatric oncology. She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator and holds a Master Interprofessional Educator Certificate from Washington University. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Leadership at the University of Missouri and was selected to participate in the National League for Nursing's 2026 Leadership Institute for Simulation Educators.
Research Interests:
Her scholarly interests include simulation pedagogy, program evaluation using validated assessment tools, interprofessional education, and curriculum design. Her work focuses on implementing evidence-based simulation practices that align with national standards and prepare students for complex clinical environments.
