Joy earned her BSN from Saint Louis University in 2009. She has worked at SSM Health for the majority of her nursing career caring for the adult population specializing in Cardiology and Neurology. During her career, Joy served as a charge nurse and preceptor to students and new employees which she thoroughly enjoyed. As a result, she sought out the opportunity to continue educating students, staff, and patients about nursing care and health practices by attending the St. Louis Clinical Faculty Academy. Joy later went on to receive her MSN from University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2016. She is currently the course lead of Adult Health II for undergraduate nursing students. Joy intends on furthering her education in years to come to better serve and represent the community.
