SSO stands for Single Sign On. For students, your SSO starts with your initials and has three random letters or numbers added. Your SSO is combined with @umsystem.edu to create your login. Example: abc123@umsystem.edu. To look up your SSO ID or to reset your password, visit the ITS website.

What is FAFSA® and do I need it?
Its goal is to help support you with federal financial aid for college, career school, or graduate school. Some states and schools use information from the FAFSA® form to determine your eligibility for their grants, scholarships, and loans. To fill out the form, you will need your FSA (Federal Student Aid) ID and the UMSL FAFSA School Code: 002519. You are required to fill out the FAFSA form annually to continue receiving financial aid. The earlier you apply, the better your chances of obtaining the maximum aid amount for postsecondary education.
I'm thinking of living on campus. How do I go about that?
UMSL has two residential housing options: Oak Hall (dormitory) and The Meadows (apartment). We highly encourage first-time college students to select Oak Hall to acclimate themselves with campus living. Here's a virtual tour of Oak Hall. Students aged 21 and above may choose to reside in The Meadows. Even if you're undecided on residing on campus or commuting, we still encourage you to fill out the housing application form as slots fill up quickly.
