Welcome to the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) College of Nursing. We educate excellent nurses, practitioners and scholars, serving the St. Louis region and beyond.
Nursing has long been considered “the most trusted profession," certainly among others who serve our society. Nursing, as a profession, focuses on health, wellbeing, and assisting individuals and communities in achieving their best state of wellness. That is why we are so proud of our students, staff, and faculty at the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Nursing!
We strive to foster well being among all our citizens and to educate the next generation of nurses, practitioners, and scholars to carry out that charge. We prioritize student success and are focusing on growing initiatives to meet students where they are, providing a premiere educational experience while attending to needs of individuals in any way we can. We prioritize equity, diversity, and inclusion in all its forms and focus on ways we can dig deeper to embrace inclusion for our students, employees, and those we serve in our community. We prioritize research and scholarship and educate all our students in the ways of the discipline of nursing so we can move forward in creating and sustaining innovations for the future. We do all these things in the spirit of community engagement, working with our community partners to hear the needs of the people and including our community members in our educational plans and processes.
Nursing is at the threshold of a new future as healthcare needs change. Be a part of the next generation of nurses, nurse practitioners, or researchers. Be an advocate for health and wellbeing in your neighborhood and beyond!
