Grant Services and Resources
To ensure that our faculty members are successful in pursuing research funding, the college of nursing provides them with the necessary resources in order to successfully reach their research endeavors. Tenure Track faculty members are expected to maintain active research programs that culminate in on-going successful external funding. Assistant Professors are given a course equivalent release per semester during the initial year of appointment to implement a research program that has strong potential for funding. This release may be extended to the second year of appointment if sufficient evidence of progress is seen.
The Research Office offers services, consultation and resources throughout all pre- and post-award phases of research including:
- Grant development and consultation
- Review of proposals
- Methodological and statistical support
- Manuscript review
- Budget development assistance
- Funding opportunities
- Dissemination opportunities
- Interagency and interoffice support
- Predoctoral fellowship application assistance
- Graduate Research Assistants
