Automatic Transfer Scholarships
These scholarships are available to new transfer students to UMSL who are seeking their first bachelor's degrees. To receive these scholarships students are expected to enroll full-time at UMSL in their semester of admission to the University.

Admission’s scholarships are determined based on the student’s Core GPA.
- Core GPA, which is not always the same as High School GPA. Information about the Core GPA can be found on the Frequently Asked Admissions Questions webpage.
Scholarships with an asterisk (*) are mutually exclusive and cannot be combined with one another.

Renewal: | Recipients must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours at UMSL annually between the fall and spring semesters and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Renewable for up to 1 additional year. Must be classified as an undergraduate student. |

Renewal: | Recipients must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours between the fall and spring semesters and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Renewable for up to 1 additional year. |
Note: These scholarships are open to US citizens and permanent residents.
Full-time Transfer students from Missouri and bordering states may be eligible for merit scholarships from $2,500 - $6,000 per year. Priority will be given to those who apply by March 1.

Competitive Transfer Scholarships
Students transferring from community colleges in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area are encouraged to check out the Community College President's Scholarship. Application procedures vary by campus. You will need to contact the campus you are transferring from to learn more information about this scholarship.
In addition to the Community College President's Scholarship, students are encouraged to complete the online scholarship application. Students can apply for scholarships as new transfer students and as continuing students, so you will want to submit your application annually.
