2011 Advisory Board
Since 2008, the UMSL Volunteer Services Advisory Board has been an instrumental part of our volunteer team and we are pleased to have new members joining us this year. They have been asked to assist in the development of our goals, design and implement an annual evaluation tool for campus volunteers and departments, represent Volunteer Services at recruitment events and serve as ambassadors for UMSL Volunteer Services in the community.
With a combined total of 8 years of service to the campus—these new members will be able to build on their own volunteering experiences on campus in their work on the Board.
Albert Nall, Jr.
Albert volunteers in many different departments on campus. He became a volunteer at UMSL two years before becoming an UMSL student. As a member of the Advisory Board, he hopes to play a pivotal role as an ambassador of the Volunteer Services program at UMSL; within the academic community for the purpose of promoting and encouraging civic responsibility. Albert also volunteers for Tau Sigma and Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri.
Charles "Chuck" Ehlert
Chuck volunteers at the Touhill but recently expanded his horizons to include other departments on campus, such as the Center for Character & Citizenship and the Children’s Advocacy Center. He is an active Rotarian and currently volunteers for the St. Charles County Golden Games and Habitat for Humanity. In addition to volunteering, Chuck enjoys organizing activities, reading and traveling. Chuck is a graduate of the University of Missouri and played trombone with Marching Mizzou. Chuck hopes that serving on the Advisory Board will help him to better understand volunteering and bring insight into volunteer planning.
Katherine Kravitz
Katherine is currently volunteering in the Center for Trauma Recovery. She has also volunteered as a docent in the library, in the Development Office and Alumni Relations. She enjoys gardening, art, and taking care of her pets. Katherine is honored to have been invited to serve on the Advisory Board and hopes her input will be of value.
