Our College, the Ed G. Smith College of Business, is the first named college in UMSL’s sixty-two-year history. The naming was affirmed by the University of Missouri Board of Curators on June 26, 2025.

The newly named Ed G. Smith College of Business reaches a level of distinction that is unmatched in the region and across the nation. It will propel the college — our faculty, staff, and, most importantly, our students — toward even greater success.

The College is a nationally recognized leader in business education and is the only public institution in St. Louis accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in both business and accounting — a distinction held by less than 2% of business schools worldwide. We offer a wide array of undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs, including top-ranked offerings in online MBA, international business, cybersecurity, and supply chain analytics.
