VPN – AnyConnect Installation with Multi Factor Authentication

These instructions will install and connect the device to tritonvpn.umsl.edu:

 

  • The VPN client can only be installed from TritonNet (campus wireless network) or an off-campus system.

  • Open an Internet Browser and go to https://tritonvpn.umsl.edu and login with your UMSL sso id and password. If you are in a public computer, choose Dissolvable_Client and it will uninstall after you logout of the computer, otherwise choose Client_Installed_Locally. Cisco SSL VPN login interface with fields for group selection, username, and password. 

  • At this point the MFA window will appear to authenticate to UMSystem with Username, password and MFA code.

  • Select "download for windows"

  • Launch Install Package

  • Select "next" "next" and install

  • You must have elevated privileges to install Anyconnect. Choose Yes to proceed with install and finish.

  • Launch the AnyConnect client from the start menu and enter tritonvpn.umsl.edu, and click connect.

  • Follow the MFA protocol with username, password and code.

  • When the installation is finished, the client will add an icon to the notification area (bottom right).
