Configuring the Remote Desktop client on Windows

  1. Launch Remote Desktop Connection

  2. If the tabs are not displayed, click "Show Options"

  3. Select the "Advanced" tab

  4. Under "Connect from anywhere", select "Settings..."

  5. Select "Do not use my RD Gateway server"
  6. Remote Desktop Server Settings window highlighting the option to not use an RD Gateway server.

  7. Click OK

  8. Select the "General" tab

  9. Enter the computer name

  10. Enter User name as ssoid@umsystem.edu

  11. Click "Connect"

  12. If prompted to confirm the connection based on certificate validation, review the host name and click Yes.
