What UMSL Faculty Say About Gradescope

I can give more students thoughtful feedback…the learning analytics allow for personal and professional growth. - Ambrose (Trey) Kidd

It can be optimized to speed up grading, but most importantly to me, it ensures
consistency/removes any possible bias, and increases student access to
feedback. - Meghann Humphries

It shaves hours off from my grading time over a semester. - Marc Spingola

During COVID, I transitioned to online assessments, but the ability to give good feedback in a timely manner was missing. With drag/drop comments, I can give rich feedback in an efficient way anywhere on the page to direct a student’s attention. Nobody’s time is infinite. If I don’t have to write [a comment] eight times, I’m happy. - Bethany Zolman
