CUT Culminating Project: Teaching Portfolio

A teaching portfolio can set a candidate apart. In this culminating project, CTL staff will review your professional materials and work with participants on high-caliber, professional presentations of their work. The portfolio should be submitted to the CTL no later than the mid-semester point of the semester in which you want to complete the CUT program. You will receive feedback in one to two weeks after submission.

Contents include:

  • A two-page introduction and reflection on how CUT has informed your teaching
  • Your philosophy of teaching and diversity statement
  • Professional Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Your syllabi and handouts, active learning activities, writing or homework assignments, and rubrics
  • Relevant artifacts such as summaries or midterm feedback and final course evaluation, letters from
    students, or graded papers
  • Your Teaching Resources Collection
  • Other evidence of professional development, e.g., programs from CUT, CTL, or Graduate Student Conference, certificates of attendance; honors, and awards

You do not need to register for the portfolio project. After completing all other units, connect with Ana Quiring (ana.quiring@umsl.edu) for details about compiling and submitting your portfolio to complete your certificate.
