The UMSL Writing Center

Summer 2026

The Writing Center will be open Monday, June 1 through Thursday, August 7. Hours of operation are posted below. Appointments are available in-person / on campus and online. Log in to see schedule availability and make an appointment.

The Writing Center will be closed the week of Monday, June 29 through Friday, July 3 to accommodate for summer holidays. 

Please note: Our hours and appointments are  limited in the summer. You must make an appointment to use the Writing Center. You may make two appointments each week. The Writing Center cannot accommodate additional time for one person beyond those two weekly appointments.

Welcome to the UMSL Writing Center! Our qualified writing consultants are active listeners and readers assisting writers of all kinds at any stage of the writing process. We offer useful tools and guidance in an environment of respect, helping writers find and strengthen their voice.

We offer appointments on campus, in Millennium Student Center (MSC) 225, as well as both Live Chat and Feedback via Email appointments online.
