Web Page Tips: Fonts
The fonts the University of Missouri-St. Louis uses on its Website are Verdana, Arial and Helvetica, all of which are sans serif fonts. All university pages use these fonts to make our Web pages easy to read and to provide a consistent look.
Changing the font style, font size or font color can be done in Dreamweaver, and may make your text stand out, but also may make it harder to read. While this practice is commonly used in word processing, it does not improve the look of the Web pages, and it creates unnecessary code. Using bold to emphasize text will not only make the text stand out, but it will be easier to read and it does not create unnecessary code.
