The LACC Student Scholarship supports newly admitted students from Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada by aligning tuition with Missouri resident rates and opening the door for additional institutional support.

About the LACC Student Scholarship
The Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada (LACC) International Student Scholarship is available to newly admitted students who reside in eligible LACC countries and territories.
Under this program, eligible students may receive:
Tuition charged at the equivalent of Missouri resident rates
Opportunities for additional institutional support, when available
There is no separate scholarship application. Eligible students are considered automatically as part of the admissions review process.
Who Is Eligible?
The LACC Student Scholarship is available to newly admitted students:
First-Time Freshman
Transfer Students
Graduate Students
LACC scholarships are only available to students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree or a graduate degree. Students must enroll full-time at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
Eligibility for Non-U.S. Citizens
Applicants must:
Be citizens of an eligible Latin American or Caribbean country or territory, or Canada
Be applying for F-1 student status in the United States
OR
Be applying to complete a fully online degree program from their home country
Eligibility for U.S. Citizens
Applicants must:
Be U.S. citizens who reside in or hold dual citizenship in an eligible Latin American or Caribbean country or territory, or Canada
Be applying as a full-time, degree-seeking student in the United States
OR
Be applying to complete a fully online degree program from their home country
Scholarship Renewal Criteria
To maintain eligibility for the LACC Student Scholarship:
Undergraduate students must be enrolled full-time (30 credit hours per academic year or 15 credit hours per semester in the Fall and Spring) and remain in good academic standing.
Graduate students must be enrolled full-time (18 credit hours per academic year or 9 credit hours per semester in the Fall and Spring) and maintain a minimum cumulative campus GPA of 3.00.
All students must continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards as defined by UMSL Student Financial Services.
The LACC Student Scholarship may replace other institutional tuition awards for which a student is eligible. When more than one possible scholarship applies, UMSL will apply the highest-value eligible award. Awards cannot be combined unless permitted explicitly by UMSL policy.
