Julia Calabrese is an Instructional Designer in the CTL, where she partners with faculty to design high‑impact, student-centered learning experiences. Her expertise includes digital accessibility, course pedagogy, engaging online learning, quality course reviews, and Canvas course design.
Julia’s background is in mathematics education, and she has taught secondary mathematics as well as undergraduate and graduate mathematics education courses. She holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. Outside of her time at UMSL, she enjoys spending time outdoors doing things like paddleboarding and hiking with her husband and dogs Yoshi and Daisy.
