Saint Louis Zoo WildCare Fellowship at the Harris Center

Available to students who have been accepted to UMSL or are currently enrolled. The Whitney R. Harris World Ecology Center at the University of Missouri–St. Louis offers the Saint Louis Zoo WildCare Fellowship at the Harris Center as an opportunity for students from across the globe with strong leadership and research potential in zoological studies and animal conservation. To apply for our Saint Louis Zoo WildCare Fellowship at the Harris Center, applicants should have strong academic credentials, zoology/animal conservation experience, and be interested in completing M.S. or Ph.D. degrees while working with an advisor at UMSL which involves research aligned with one of the Saint Louis Zoo Wild Care Institute’s Centers or programs. The student must actively reach out to faculty at UMSL to discuss how their research and ideas fit with the program.

This unique graduate program in animal conservation is designed to educate animal conservation scientists and create new opportunities working with the Saint Louis Zoo WildCare Institute. The fellowship will provide stipend and tuition fee waiver for each semester per academic year for two years (M.S. students) or four years (Ph.D. students), as well as the the opportunity to apply for competitive research funds.
