The Gateway Writing Project is a founding and contributing member of The Show Me Literacies Collaborative (SMLC), a network that includes literacy experts from other Missouri Writing Project sites (MWP at Mizzou and GKCWP at UCM), along with the Missouri Language and Literacies Center at the University of Missouri. In partnership with MO DESE, the Show Me Literacies Collaborative is responsible for implementing the federal grant, Missouri State Comprehensive Literacy Development Program. This partnership will advance literacy education research, and provides direct support and outreach to PreK-12 teachers, their students, and higher education across the state of Missouri.
