Abigail Melchior (she/her) is a graduate student and teaching assistant in the MFA program for fiction at UMSL. She instructs First-Year Composition courses and runs the English Department’s social media accounts.
Abigail is working on her first novel, a literary thriller, and was a winner of the 91st Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition, in the genre category, for her short story "No Rest for the Wicked". Abigail is also the Marketing Manager for River Styx literary journal, and writes book reviews on her Instagram account, @literati_list. When not reading or writing, Abigail collects rocks & watches Disney movies with her nephew, Charlie, and is bossed around by her unruly German Shorthaired Pointer, Hessia.
