Transcripts
All UMSL transcripts are processed through the National Student Clearinghouse. Please visit their website to begin your transcript order. Students will need their 8-digit UMSL ID number or their Social Security Number to complete their transcript request.
For additional guidance through the transcript order process, see our Transcript Request Tutorial.
Transferability
UMSL credits are transferable to many public and private colleges and universities. For more information about how the UMSL credits are likely to transfer, see UMSL's Course Equivalency Database, which shows course equivalencies between UMSL and selected institutions. This database is continuously developing and subject to change. Further, this database is only to be used as a guide and does not guarantee transfer of credit.
Students should contact their college or university to confirm their policy regarding transfer credit.
Syllabus Requests
In the process of reviewing transfer credits, a college or university may request more information about a course—and may ask to see a syllabus. This is especially common if a student is the first person to attempt to transfer a particular course to that institution.
The ACP collects and keeps copies of all course syllabi. If a college or university requests to see an UMSL syllabus, students can contact the ACP Office at acp@umsl.edu. The ACP Office will then retrieve and send a copy of the syllabus. Please note that this syllabus will be the same document that was originally distributed in the high school classroom. All dual credit syllabi contain the official UMSL course name, number, and description, as well as an outline of topics.
