To enroll in dual credit, students must register their desired course(s), a parent/guardian must approve the student's registration via email, and a counselor must verify that the student meets the eligibility requirements below. All GPAs are based on 4.0 scale.

 

Juniors and Seniors


Juniors and seniors with cumulative GPAs of 3.0 or above are automatically eligible for dual credit through UMSL. Juniors and seniors with cumulative GPAs between 2.5-2.99 are also eligible; however, a guidance counselor must provide written recommendation in addition to the recommendation from the parent or guardian. Written permission is incorporated into the online registration system.

 

Sophomores


Sophomores with cumulative GPAs of 3.0 or above are eligible for dual credit courses; however, a guidance counselor must provide written recommendation in addition to the recommendation from the parent or guardian. Written permission is incorporated into the online registration system.

 

Freshmen


Freshmen who score at or above the 90th percentile on the ACT or SAT, have a cumulative GPAs of 3.0 or above, provide a signed letter of recommendation from their guidance counselor, and provide written permission from a parent or legal guardian are eligible for dual credit.
