Dropping Courses

ACP students may choose to be dropped from receiving college credit for any personal or academic reason. If a student drops the course at their high school, they must drop the course with UMSL as well.

Drop/Withdrawal Deadlines

For Fall 2025 courses concluding in December, the deadline to drop a course without penalty is Dec. 1st. Students who drop on or before Dec. 1st will have the course removed from their UMSL transcript and will be refunded for any tuition already paid toward the course.

Students can withdraw from a course between Dec. 2nd and Dec. 22nd. They will receive a grade of "EX" ("Excused") on their UMSL transcript. Students who withdraw within this period will not be eligible for tuition reimbursement.

After Dec. 22nd, students can no longer withdraw. Their UMSL transcript will show the letter grade that they receive for the course.
