The graduate certificate in Mobile Apps and Computing is a four-course (12 credit hours) program. It provides training in technologies and frameworks for mobile apps and computing. All students must take three required courses and one elective, subject to the graduate school regulations.
A minimum of three courses must be taken from UMSL. A maximum of two courses can be used from the 4000-level. Courses may be substituted with the permission of the certificate coordinator. For more information, students can contact the department chair or email info@arch.umsl.edu.
Applicants must have the following courses, take them as prerequisites, have related background or experience, or have graduate standing in Computer Science or Cybersecurity. Additional areas/courses may be needed depending on specific chosen electives.
Computer Science: familiarity with data structures, Java, and basic cybersecurity or networking concepts, such as Cmp Sci 2250, 2261, 3702/ 5702 or 4730.
