UMSL Marketing & Entrepreneurship Advisory Council
The UMSL Marketing & Entrepreneurship Advisory Council was established in 2013 to strengthen the connection between industry and academia during a period of rapid transformation in the marketing profession. As digital technologies, social media, and data-driven marketing reshaped the field, the department recognized the importance of engaging industry leaders who could help ensure that UMSL students graduate with skills aligned to the evolving marketplace.
The Council brings together accomplished marketing and business professionals who are willing to invest their time, insight, and experience to help guide the future of the department. Members serve as a bridge between the classroom and the professional world, helping shape curriculum relevance, mentoring students, and supporting experiential learning initiatives such as the Midwest Digital Marketing Conference (MDMC).
Through their involvement, Council members help position the University of Missouri–St. Louis at the forefront of modern marketing education while strengthening connections between the university and the regional business community.
