The Marketing and Entrepreneurship Department holds several different conferences and summits every year. One of the largest conferences that the department is known for putting together is the Midwest Digital Marketing Conference. MDMC was created by Dr. Perry Drake and in 2013 held its first gathering at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Over the years the conference has moved to its new home in the St. Louis Union Station and has expanded the time period to two full days.

Today, MDMC is one of the Midwest’s biggest digital marketing conferences. It has been named a top 10 conference by Forbes in 2018 and 2019. In 2019 the conference housed around 2000 attendees with speakers from companies such as BuzzFeed, Pandora, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Refinery29, Pinterest, GoDaddy, Under Armour, LinkedIn, HubSpot, Google, Yahoo, Nielsen and more.
