The UMSL Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Education (UMSL ECONED) addresses the vital need for economic literacy by contributing to the understanding of economics, personal finance, and entrepreneurship through education and outreach to children and adults.
UMSL ECONED serves to inspire, inform, and equip. UMSL ECONED is a leading source of training, resources, information, and activities for educators, students, social service providers, other professionals, and the general public. Since its inception in 1978, UMSL ECONED has impacted thousands of teachers, students, professionals, and others.

UMSL ECONED is part of the UMSL Department of Economics, is affiliated with the Missouri Council on Economic Education and the national Council for Economic Education, and is a member of the Missouri Jump$tart Coalition.
