Summer School at the Fed
----new courses for educators!

This summer's course at the Fed was an exciting, new experience, featuring three sessions over the course of nine days. Each session presented a unique topic:

Session 1: The Global Market: Why Does it Matter? June 9-11
    8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Session 2: Making Sense of Money & Banking June 12-16
    8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Session 3: Technology: Tools for Teaching Social Studies and Personal Finance June 17-19
8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Watch for these fascinating sessions in 2009. You may attend any or all of the sessions for credit or as a non-credit participant. There is an option to suit nearly everyone! And, in each session, you will receive free lesson plans, videos, DVD's, and publications. All teachers are welcome, but classroom applications are geared to grades 4-12.

Continental breakfast and lunch are included, compliments of the St. Louis Fed.

The 2009 course will be back at the Fed! Yes, after years of construction, the Fed will be ready to receive us for this class.

For those taking the credit course option, each session represents one graduate credit hour. Missouri teachers taking the credit option are eligible for a 1/2 education fee scholarship from the Missouri Council on Economic Education. Based on the Spring 2008 fee schedule, Missouri teachers would normally pay $298.60 per credit hour, but with the MCEE scholarship, you would pay only $149.30. Each session taken non-credit is $95.00. What a deal!

Watch for announcements and then call soon to reserve your space.
