ECON 1005: Family Economics and Household Development
In your work with families and individuals, you will encounter those who have difficulty earning an income, credit problems, or problems with managing their bills. This course is designed to provide social service professionals with an understanding of the principles of personal financial management.Case studies are used to apply course content and to develop training strategies for clients to improve household financial management. The role of financial institutions and government policies as well as their impact on low income families is also examined. In addition, students will learn about resources that can be used with their clients.
