Let's get connected and support each other!

Group and Individual Therapy

Support groups can be a great way to meet with other student parents to discuss the real and raw experiences of being a student and a parent. In addition, group and individual therapy can allow you to add a skilled mental health professional to your support network. As an UMSL student parent you may be eligible to receive free or discounted counseling services through Counseling Services or the Counseling and Social Advocacy Center (CSAC). Counseling Services provides low-cost individual and group therapy for UMSL students. The Counseling and Social Advocacy Center provides affordable group and individual services to UMSL students and play therapy sessions for children. The Counseling and Social Advocacy Center also occasionally hosts group therapy sessions specifically for student parents, which are free to Pell Eligible student parents. Check out their webpages for more information and to gain access to these resources!
