Hi! My name is Nia Owens and I am an Academic Advisor for the College of Arts and Sciences. I began my educational journey at Fontbonne University where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology in December 2022. I also obtained my Master's of Education (M.Ed.) in Adult and Higher Education from UMSL in December 2024. With my position, I am excited to work with students on their academic and personal goals, as well as preparing them to be tomorrow's next best leaders! The majors that I advise are Modern Languages, English, History, and Studio Art.
In my free time, I enjoy watching anime (One Piece is my absolute favorite!!!), hanging out with friends and family, trying new foods, and listening to music (I'm always open for music recommendations!).
