The College of Business Administration is the largest provider of internships in the St. Louis region.  Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in UMSL’s BSBA or MBA program with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management or Analytics have the opportunity to participate in valuable Internships with local businesses. Our students intern at a wide-range of public and private, for-profit and not-for-profit companies, including Boeing, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Bayer, the Little Bit Foundation, UniGroup and others. Interns typically serve as supply chain planners, distribution or transportation analysts, demand planners or buyers.

Students engaging in Internships gain practical experience, learn new skills and can build relationships with mentors that last throughout a career.  Interns enter the job market well prepared for the challenges of transitioning from a college student to a young professional. And, Internships look great on a resume and future job applications!

Our Internships typically run for one semester; they may be full-time or part-time, paid or unpaid and students may earn academic credit. An internship is a terrific way to experience supply chain work in the real world and to see if this field is the right one for you. Many of our Interns go on to accept full time positions with their sponsor company following graduation.

Whether students have internship experience or not, we are pleased to report a 97% placement rate following graduation for our BSBA graduates with Supply Chain Management emphasis, and 90% for our MBA graduates with Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics emphasis from 2014 to 2019.

Our graduates join some of the largest, public companies and smaller, private companies the St. Louis area. They are hired as project managers, business and logistics analysts, distribution planners, procurement agents and others.

“We have hired graduates of these programs here at UniGroup, and I have been impressed with the output of UMSL throughout my years in HR.”
