The Advanced Credit Program is committed to make college credit more accessible to students experiencing financial need. There are variety of scholarship opportunities available to students enrolled in dual credit through UMSL. For questions regarding scholarships, please contact Stephen Eyma at seyma@umsl.edu.
MDHEWD Scholarship
Students demonstrating financial need may be eligible to receive a dual credit scholarship from the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (MDHEWD). To be considered for this scholarship, students must submit an application to MDHEWD. Please note that this is separate from the ACP application and has its own deadlines for Fall and Spring semesters. For more information, visit the MDHEWD website.
ACP Scholarship
The UMSL ACP also offers in-house scholarships to students. Every semester, partner high schools are allotted a limited number of student scholarships, which the schools then distribute among their students. One "full" scholarship covers the cost of one dual credit course (regardless of total credit hours) for one student. For more information, please contact your school counselor or dual credit coordinator.
Individual dual credit teachers are also given one student scholarship for their attendance of an ACP-sponsored professional development workshop. Each certificate can cover the cost of one dual credit course (regardless of total credit hours) for one student. You may consult your dual credit teacher to inquire if a certificate is available for use.
