UMSL Planetarium: The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Missouri-St. Louis is proud to operate the campus' planetarium. With funding from the NASA-Missouri Space Grant Consortium, we provide the Astronomy Outreach Program free of charge for elementary school students as well as participate in various community events.
UMSL Observatory: Located on the campus of UMSL, the observatory is used for astronomical research and for public education. It houses a 16" Meade LX200 telescope and two portable 8" Celestron telescopes. The telescope can be used for imaging or spectroscopy with an SBIG ST-8 CCD camera.
UMSL Walking and Bike Trails: The paved trail on the UMSL campus is known as the Wayne Goode Trail. It's named after the famed Missouri legislator who helped found UMSL and you may have noticed the Wayne Goode statue standing on the MSC South Lawn, looking out over the ponds. This trail is also sometimes referred as the "cross-campus trail."
The Wayne Goode Trail is part of the St. Vincent Greenway. The northern section of the St. Vincent Greenway is 5.5 miles long, stretching 1.2 miles through St. Vincent Park and 4.3 miles through the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus. It ties together the UMSL North and South campuses along with St. Vincent County Park and the Ted Jones Trail. Note that there's also a southern section of the St. Vincent Greenway; the southern portion of the St. Vincent Greenway stretches from Forest Park at Lindell to Trojan Park at Etzel Avenue and North Skinker Parkway. When the St. Vincent Greenway is complete, the two sections will connect and it will extend 7 miles from NorthPark and the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus all the way to Forest Park.
UMSL Campus Recreation and Wellness Center : UMSL Campus Recreation operates out of the Recreation and Wellness Center. We offer much more than just a place to exercise. We are dedicated to utilizing the Recreation and Wellness Center to provide a spot for all members to stay, play, and connect on the UMSL Campus. Our goal is to provide an inclusive and comprehensive set of programs and services that cater to the needs of the UMSL community. Our offerings focus on promoting health, wellness, recreation, and fun. Everyone is encouraged to participate and join the fun!

Tiny Tritons : Tiny Tritons is a series presented by the Office of Student Involvement with our UMSL families in mind! With multiple programs throughout the year, these family-friendly programs are geared towards children PreK-5th Grade. Events vary from educational, physical, crafts, and just plain fun! There will be one event each month, most on Saturday mornings.
