New Student Programs is also committed in assisting new parents and family members to the Triton community.  In order to make a smooth transition and to assist your student, we have specific resources and a separate parent and family orientation program.

SHARE questions and concerns with other family members.


UMSL Parent and Family Virtual Webinar Series 

We invite our UMSL parents, family members, and guests to join us in a webinar series to assist your student in transition to the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Our campus is excited to have you apart of this journey, and look forward to connecting with you through these webinar series.

If you are not able to join us during the live presentations, these will be recorded and posted on our website to reference at a later time. We also encourage you to sign up for our monthly Parent and Family Newsletter to stay informed with campus announcements, important dates, campus events, and helpful resources to assist your student with a successful UMSL experience.

Your student will need to register you for these webinar series which is their Triton Portal login information. (hint: It is their email and password that they used when applying to UMSL).

Join campus faculty and administrators as they provide family members with information, tips, and tricks to help support their students in achieving success while at UMSL. The session will communicate important family resources, strategies for supporting your student throughout their UMSL Experience, campus safety, policies and procedures, and more!

Presenters: Dr. D’Andre Braddix, Associate Vice Provost for the Division of Student Affairs, Officer Dustin Smith, Mrs. Megan Green Simonds, Director of New Student Programs will lead this session and be available to address any questions.

Thursday, August 12 at 5:30 pm - Fall Opening Overview: Classroom Experience, Welcome Programming, & More!

Join us for a virtual presentation to learn more about the upcoming Fall semester, safety precautions surrounding COVID-19, and how to help your student prepare for their first UMSL semester. The following departments will be present to provide updates and time for Q&A.  Associate Dean of Students in Division of Student Affairs, New Student Programs, Residential Life and Housing, Academic Affairs, and Student Involvement.
