SCOPE: Collection of photographs relating to aviation, St. Louis, and the 1904 World's Fair. Most images were taken by Trefts. Subjects include images of Charles Lindberg and the Wright Brothers, as well as the World's Fair Exposition of 1904 and Saint Louis street scenes.

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: Charles Trefts was a photographer who owned a studio at 802 Chestnut St., Saint Louis, Missouri.

ACCESS: This is collection M-397. This collection is available for on-site use only in the Rare Book and Manuscripts Reading Room. Some of the collection may be photocopied, digitally scanned or photographed, depending on condition. Researchers are advised to call ahead concerning changes in hours due to University intersessions and holidays. The St. Louis Mercantile Library is located on levels one and two of the Thomas Jefferson Library building.
