M-233: Kyse, Manley and Barnett Collection

HISTORY: This collection was originally donated to the library in 1999 by Ms. Helen Kyse. The Manley family owned and operated an important carriage company in St. Louis during the late 19th and early 20th Century. In addition John Barnett was an important optical designer who was credited with the invention of the spring clip glasses.

SCOPE: The collection is comprised mostly of personal and corporate papers and photographs concerning the lives of the Kyse, Manley and Barnett families.

HOLDINGS: 10 boxes approximately 12 linear feet, including photos, books, papers and ephemra

ACCESS: Some of the material in Special Collection M-233 may be photocopied, digitally scanned or photographed, subject to condition.
