Accounting 2400

Students are expected to recognize and understand:
· The relationships between the financial statements
· The Accounting Equation
· The need for and application of Accrual versus Cash basis of reporting
· The Balance sheet structure and examples of Elements (assets, liabilities, equity)
· The Income Statement structure, examples of Elements (revenues, expenses)
· Statement of Cash Flows Structure and 3 types of activities


Accounting 2410

Students are expected to recognize and understand:
· The basic cost terminology: product, period, fixed, variable
· The idea of a break-even point/ Contribution Margin
· The idea of standard costing and an introduction to variance analysis
· Decision Making using Relevant vs. Irrelevant Information
· Time Value of Money concepts
· Capital Budgeting


Bachelor of Science in Accounting

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Functional Business Knowledge:  Students will have understanding of functional areas (e.g., accounting, management, marketing, supply chain, finance, and information systems) of the business enterprise knowledge.

Decision Making Skills: Students will arrive at reasoned conclusions and make informed decisions in assessing current and predicted business situations by apply business concepts.

Global Orientation:  Students will understand the complexities of the cultural, economic, regulatory, and social environments as they impact business in a global economy.

Ethical Orientation: Students will demonstrate the ability to recognize the underlying ethical and legal implications inherent in business situations

Bachelor of Science in Information Science & Technology

Leadership & Strategy:  Students will understand information systems leadership principles and strategy.

Systems Analysis and Design: Students will demonstrate a deep understanding and application of systems analysis and design.

Doctor of Business Administration
