Application Checklist

Please follow this checklist ensures your application is complete and processed efficiently:

1. Complete the Graduate Application

  • Estimated time: 15 - 20 minutes

  • Application fees: $50 for domestic applicants | $40 for international applicants

2. Request Official Transcripts

Official transcripts from every college or university you have attended must be sent directly to the Office of Graduate Admissions (domestic) or UMSL Global (international).

3. Statement of Purpose

Submit a statement of purpose for your program of interest. Explain your goals, background, and reasons for pursuing a graduate degree.


4. Resume/CV

Submit a current resume or curriculum vitae (CV).


5. Recommendation Letters

  • Applicants with a 3.0 GPA or higher: Optional

  • Applicants with a GPA below 3.0: Two letters of recommendation are required.


6. GMAT Scores

  • NOT required for admission to:

    • DBA, MBA, Master of Accounting (MAcc), MS in Information Systems & Technology (MSIST), MS in Cybersecurity, MS in Supply Chain Analytics, MS in Financial Technology (FinTech), and all graduate certificate programs.

  • Required for PhD in Business Administration (Supply Chain and Analytics Emphasis) applicants.

7. International Applicants

  • Review required application materials and immigration items via UMSL Global.

  • Submit transcripts and supporting documents early to allow for processing time.

  • Additional processing may be required for immigration documentation.
