Dinesh A. Mirchandani is Professor and Chair of the Information Systems and Technology department in the College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. He received a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Management Information Systems) from the University of Kentucky, an M.S in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering (with honors) from the University of Bombay. His research interests include information systems planning and electronic business. His papers have been published in academic journals such as Business & Society, Communications of the ACM, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, Information & Management, and Information Systems Journal among others. He is a recipient of the Douglas E. Durand Award for Research Excellence and the Anheuser-Busch Excellence in Teaching Award in the College of Business Administration. He is a member of the Association for Information Systems and serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Global Information Technology Management.
