2024-10-10 Finance Career Conference
The Finance Club Hosted the annual Finance Career Conference on October 10, 2024. Speakers included keynotes by Morgan Koenig and Beth DeCamp, as well as panels discussions on the CFA and fintech. Students also participated in a lunch/networking activity and connected with firms, such as Northwestern Mutual, Buckingham Strategic Wealth, and Commerce Trust. Check out more details below:
2024-10-15 Fintech Career Opportunities
The Finance Club co-hosted a Fintech Career Opportunities event with the Accounting Club and Information Technology and Cybersecurity Club. This event hosted representatives from Reinsurance Group of America, Moneta, and Finlocker. Students heard about what fintech means to each of the companies and had an opportunity to network and learn about internship/career opportunities with the firms. Check out more details below:

The Finance Club hosted a Spring Kickoff event to start off the semester, welcome new members to the club, and discuss plans for the spring semester.
2025-03-04 Snacks with Stifel
The Finance Club hosted a “Snacks with Stifel” event where students had an opportunity to connect with professionals Carol Candelario, CDR < and Ashley Slatinsky from Stifel, gain valuable financial insights, and learn about career opportunities at Stifel. From engaging discussions on career growth to insightful conversations about the finance industry, this event, co-hosted by Beta Alpha Psi, truly brought together students eager to learn and professionals willing to share their expertise.
2025-05-02 Topgolf with Edward Jones
The Finance Club teamed up with Beta Alpha Psi and the Student Investment Trust for a fun and insightful TopGolf event with Harsh Patel, CFP®, ChFC®, AAMS™ and Kate Ferguson from Edward Jones. Students had the opportunity to swing some clubs, share laughs, and dive into real conversations about career opportunities in finance.
2025-09-25 Skills for the Future
The Finance Club, Student Investment Trust, and the Department of Finance and Legal Studies all participated in the Ed G. Smith College of Business "Skills for the Future" event. Students interacted with representatives from the student organizations to learn more about the opportunities and benefits from getting involved.

The Finance Club collaborated with the UMSL Alumni Association and Edward Jones to organize a Dining with Tritons event. Students participated in networking activities with UMSL alumni from Edward Jones. More details below:
2025-12-05 St. Louis Fed Visit
The Finance Club leadership team, joined by UMSL alumni Edmaelle Augustin from Edward Jones, visited the St. Louis Fed's Economy Museum. Students learned about the history of economics and the role of the Federal Reserve in the modern economy.
2026-03-05 CFA Networking Event
The Finance Club and Investment Club hosted a CFA Networking Event, which featured Morgan Koenig from Enterprise Bank & Trust. Morgan spoke to students about the CFA charter, opportunities in the profession, and shared advice on how to get involved with the CFA Society of St. Louis. This was followed by a networking session where students were able to ask questions to Morgan and get career advice.
