The Gerontology Program is an academically independent, degree-granting unit of the School of Social Work at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. The Gerontology Program is housed in the same building, Bellerive Hall, where we share classroom space and other resources with the School.

Students pursuing social work degrees (BSW, MSW) take Gerontology courses as electives and may also be working towards a Graduate or Undergraduate Certificate. Likewise, MSG and Gerontology Certificate students will often take courses in Social Work to meet specific requirements (e.g., in statistics and research) or elective interests.
