Jeffrey L. Weaver, O.D., M.B.A., M.S.
Dr. Weaver is the Executive Director of the American Board of Optometry, and is in 4-doctor private group optometric practice in Creve Coeur, Missouri. At the University of Missouri-St. Louis, he instructs the course on Environmental Vision and teaches in the Primary Care Clinic.
He has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry since 1998 and a Diplomate in Public Health and Environmental Vision since 2003. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, and is Board Certified in Healthcare Management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
He is a Fellow of the European Academy of Optometry and Optics and a Distinguished Policy Fellow of the National Academies of Practice. He currently serves on the Legislation, Registration and Standards Committee and the Advocacy Committee of the World Council of Optometry. He is Past President of the Missouri Optometric Association.
He retired in 2012 as a Colonel from the U.S. Army Reserve after serving 30 years as a clinical optometrist, administrator, researcher and commander. He has recently hit the mission trail, taking his eyecare services to El Salvador and twice to Peru with Hazelwood Baptist Church and Tom Cox World Ministries.
