WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration)
In summer 2012, the International Summer UniversityWU (ISU WU) will take place for the 23rd time. Every year the team of the ISU WU designs a new and interesting program which meets the high standards of WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business).
The ISU WU takes place in July and August for three week sessions in Vienna, a city which hosts many major international organizations and is located in the heart of Europe. The program is divided into Bachelor and Master levels.

A large variety of economic and business related courses in English are taught by experienced, international lecturers. The main objective of the program is not to provide basic knowledge, but to deepen specific knowledge in business. Visiting local companies and solving practical case studies in intercultural groups complements the strong theoretical basis.
Around 200 students from over 30 countries take place in the ISU WU every year. An exciting social and cultural program effectively rounds out the program.

Courses in the Undergraduate Program:
Undergraduate Programs are taught in English and each consist of one intensive course and one enrichment course. Students will earn a total of 8 ECTS per program.
Intensive courses are held from Monday through Friday in the mornings. These courses total 6 ECTS and are held by WU university staff.

- Global Strategy, Marketing and Management Challenges
- Accounting and Finance
- Managing Social Change
Enrichment courses total 2 ECTS. These courses are held by renowned, international guest lecturers of WU partner universities and take place on selected afternoons.

Students will earn UM-St. Louis residence credit for these courses. Course equivalencies will be posted when they become available.
Courses in the Graduate Program:
The three-week Graduate Program on International Management is taught by highly qualified guest lecturers of WU partner universities with topics changing on a weekly basis. This program totals 9 ECTS and is taught in the mornings and afternoons. The language of instruction of the Graduate Program is English.

2 Program fee includes accommodation in the students' residence hall, breakfast & lunch (Monday through Friday on lecture days), public transportation ticket within Vienna for the time of the session, use of WU's library, computer laboratories, eLearning Services, wireless internet on campus, and language resource center, course materials, and a program certificate upon completion. Factored at a $1.33 exchange rate.
3Waived WU Tuition applies to students who are officially nominated by the University of Missouri – St. Louis Study Abroad Office as part of the general exchange agreement.
4 If students are not nominated, the reduced tuition scheme of 400 EUR applies.
5 Students will need to buy evening and weekend meals not on lecture days; This estimate is for remaining meals and personal expenses. (It will vary by student depending on personal habits).
